Our family’s history in the concrete swimming pool industry dates back to 1952.These founding years saw the construction of a concrete swimming pool very much different from today’s modern construction techniques. For a start, there were no large concrete trucks as we know today delivering fully prepared pre-mixed concrete to site. All concrete was prepared at the location and shovelled by hand into the concrete pump ready for spraying.

Unlike the current method of using a ‘wet mix’ the concrete was dry and mixed by using water at the spray nozzle instead of compressed air. In the 50’s it was Sydney and Melbourne that dominated the pool building industry and it wasn’t until the early 60’s that demand had spread to Queensland. Since that time the industry in Queensland has enjoyed a vibrant and dynamic growth.

Developments such as the famous Jack Evans Porpoise Pool at Tweed Heads, Gold Coasts’ Marineland and the numerous apartment complexes that featured pools fuelled this growth, and we’re proud to say, all built by our family.More recent projects to our credit, complete under the main contractor’s identity, include Dreamworld, Seaworld and Movieworld, as well as private backyard pools and apartment buildings that number in the thousands.

Over the years our operation has spread to places like Alice Springs, Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the Kings Canyon Tourist Parks, undertaking major commercial construction projects for clients such as BHP, Bezzina Group and the Four Seasons and Sheraton Hotel Groups. This vast experience in concrete and swimming pool construction allows us to comfortably deal with any contingencies that may arise during the construction process and underlines our confidence in being able to deliver to you a first class job.
